Laurie has experience with inpatient rehab centers, pediatric clinics, schools, and home health, giving her skills working with a wide range of ages and abilities. Laurie added, “I love that OT allows me to break down any activity, even one I am not initially familiar with, in order to help others engage in their lives with activities that are important to them in an easy way- from children and families working on ADLs, to forming sustainable habits across a lifespan, to adults looking to improve their wellness, or helping those with therapeutic exercises post surgery or injury. I love being an OT!” During the pandemic, Laurie and her husband were able to also fulfill another dream of opening a wellness company, where they provide several online services for overall wellbeing.
Laura, who goes by “Laurie,” grew up in the deep south of Texas. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the University of Texas- Pan American in 2007, where she also met her husband.
